It's the fourth day of this new year and my first entry since last year. I had intentions of sitting and writing about my New Years evening, writing out a story line or the major changes I've gone through in the past ten years, and so on and so forth. Obviously, I haven't done such and have lost the gusto to take the time to sit and do so.

Anyhow, the past three days of this new year have been fun. I spent time with family and friends on New Years complete with a quasi countdown since the group of us didn't have a sync'd watch nor were we able to find a radio station holding a proper countdown. Instead we sporatically broke into a countdown and then proceeded to hug each other while trying to sip down our sparkling apple cider.

On a different note, I've come to term with the fact that this season is infact my vacation and that's it ok that I haven't been to the office, that I'm sleeping in late, and staying out (or in) till the wee hours of the morning. As I've sat and down myself, my schedule goes back into it's normal business come the 7th when the rest of the interns get back into the swing of things I start attending staff meeting because the simplicity of it is that, I should.

As for last night, I had lots of fun. I got to spend some part of my day hanging out with Seda and Dee. We did some mall walking and much eating before Seda has to depart. Dee and I met up with an old friend by the name of Greg and his 5 day old new bride. It was neat hanging out with them and seeing how well they meshed together.

It was cute but oddly strange that someone a mere year or two older than Dee and I had gone the route of marriage (and done so happily). I guess it strikes me as odd on the basis that I'm not able to fathom marriage at all during this season of my life. Even that last statement throws me off as most of my highschool years were spent wishing I could just tie the knot and get the marriage game over so that I could routinely have sex and make some babies.

It's all a different story now. Give me school, work, family time, and friend time and I'm all good. Marriage can wait... and it's gonna have to.

After the short time Dee and I spent with Greg and his wife Sarah, we met up with Gloria in Waikiki as well as her brothers Jorel and Paul. We got to hang out for a bit and watch some break dancing. Gloria ended up staying behind while Jorel, Paul, Dee, and I went for some food at Zippys and then to Ala Moana where the adventure of trying to get my parked car out of the chain enclosed parking structure. Eventually, we freed my car and all headed back to my house where we watched "Big Trouble" on DVD and then all of episodes of "Def Poetry" off of Oceanic Cable's HBO on demand. (thank God for this channel)

By the time everyone departed to head out to their respective homes, it was 4 am. I spent the next hour doing my devotions and changing from my day clothes into a comfy pair of pajamas. By 5:30am I was asleep.

I woke up to my Dad frantically yelling and screaming at me at 10:30am because of an appointment he needed to get to at my mechanics, to get my break pads (or whatever it is that needs fixin') fixed.

I'm looking forward to the rest of my day being amusing with more hanging out and more new stories I'll be able to write about tomorrow.
